Ceremony of 11th annual Top Enterprises ranking based on their contribution to Mongolian economic and social development, evaluated and prepared by Mongolian Government and MNCCI, were held on Monday, April 30th.

GrapeCity Mongolia presented with the highest award of the Mongolian Tax Administration

In recognition of the achievements and contribution to the development of Mongolian economy, our company was selected by Mongolian Tax Administration as “Tax Payer of Year – 2010” and added to the list of major business enterprises of Mongolia. In celebration of centennial anniversary of Tax Administration in Mongolia and 20th anniversary of the established of the current administration, Mongolian Tax Administration published a book titled “For Mighty Mongolia” to distinguish and acknowledge top tax payer organizations including GrapeCity Mongolia.

Our company was one of the 50 organizations presented with the first “Blue Notebook”, highest award given by the Mongolian Tax Administration. This award is a clear indication of our contribution to the development of our country. Congratulations to everyone in GrapeCity Mongolia!

Ulaanbaatar City Bank successfully implements our core banking solution

As a result of successful completion of the implementation project which was initiated in April of this year, Ulaanbaatar City Bank became the latest user of GrapeCity Mongolia’s banking solution. Representatives of both organizations met on July 22nd for the official delivery note signing, where CEO of GrapeCity Mongolia presented the license certificates, install disks and user guides and shared .

Upon signing the official delivery note Vice CEO\'s of Ulaanbaatar City Bank Mrs. Ch. Solongo and O. Banzragch expressed their gratitude by saying “GrapeCity Mongolia\'s products not only incorporate international standards and latest technological advances, your solutions met our requirements and were also highly flexible to match specific rules and regulations of our bank. We are confident that our partnership will only grow stronger and flourish together.” CEO of GrapeCity Mongolia Mr. A. Sukhdorj also shared his thoughts on the future of partnering organizations by discussing other solutions and business areas besides core banking and retail services the two organizations can cooperate.

GrapeCity Mongolia organizes annual hiking trip

On the weekend of May 21-22 we have successfully hosted our annual hiking trip among partners and customers. This is the 7^th time GrapeCity Mongolia organizes this sports event, which is start of our 11^th anniversary celebration.

More than 100 hikers, including 15 teams and supporters participated in the 20km hike which took place in the magnificent Dugan Khad of Tuv aimag’s Bornuur soum, located 100km northwest of Ulaanbaatar. Hikers from Khan Bank, Golomt Bank, Capitron Bank, State Bank, Capital Bank, MOST PSP LLC, Incoment LLC, BSB Service LLC, Songinokhangai LLC (My Store chain of supermarkets), Ilinx Express LLC, MobiFinance NBFI, Net Capital NBFI, Development Finance NBFI and GrapeCity Mongolia took part in various contests requiring hiking skills, endurance and teamwork.

Sport master degree holders and national referees from the Hiking Association of Mongolia established the panel of judges. “Khan” team from the Khan Bank, heavy favorite of the competition, was the overall winner taking the first place, receiving gold medals and keeping the Hiking Cup for the second year in a row. Net Capital NBFI got the second place despite participating in the event for the first time, followed by MOST PSP LLC team. MobiFinance NBFI team received the “Best New Team” award from the organizers.

ISO 9001 certificate renewed until 2014

By meeting the requirements of quality management system ISO 9001:2008 (MNS ISO 9001:2010) standards our company has been certified until January 1st of 2014. Mongolian Agency for Standardization and Metrology, responsible for approving and publishing all Mongolian standards and representing Mongolia in international standardization within ISO, certified our company’s quality management system standards by renewing our certificate for 3 more years.

Voted as the best developer of 2010

On 16 of December, 2010, “Mongolian Development Gateway” non-government organization successfully organized “Person of the Year 2010” awards for the 8th time. The “Person of the Year” awards, consisting of 6 nominations, are presented annually by the “Mongolian Development Gateway” along with its partners and associates to recognize the achievements and successes of the individuals in the information technology industry.

GrapeCity Mongolia’s Head of Security Solution Department A. Atarsaikhan was voted as the “Best Developer in the Information Technology Industry” and was awarded with a trophy and certificate during the annual IT new year celebration.

The purpose of “Person of the Year” awards is to distinguish and acknowledge the individual accomplishments and contributions to the development of information technology industry in Mongolia. Voting consists of preliminary and final stages with the winners of the awards voted by the public.

Our services are expanding

GrapeCity Mongolia introduced the GrapeBank core banking system to the market in 2006 by implementing the system in Capitron Bank. In 2010, two more banks were added the growing list of the customers when they signed implementation project contracts in early March.

GrapeCity Mongolia successfully completed the implementation projects before the start of 4th quarter and the new customers have already incorporated their activities into new systems. Administrations of both banks, State Bank and Erel Bank, expressed their gratitude for GrapeBank core banking system and other banking solution products and services and stated that they are confident that mutually beneficial partnership with GrapeCity Mongolia will continue to grow. With addition of two banks, 8 banks have selected GrapeBank as their core banking solution and increasing the number of customer banks to 10.

Erel Bank successfully implements the core banking solution

As a result of successful completion of the implementation project which was initiated in March of this year, Erel Bank became the latest user of GrapeCity Mongolia’s banking solution. Representatives of both organizations met on August 19th at the Erel Bank’s head office for the official delivery note signing, where CEO of GrapeCity Mongolia presented the license certificates, install disks and user guides.

Upon signing the official delivery note CEO of Erel Bank Mr. D. Tumurkhuu expressed his gratitude by saying “It brings us great pleasure to see our products helping you achieve success in your business. We are confident that our partnership will only grow stronger and flourish together.” CEO of GrapeCity Mongolia Mr. A. Sukhdorj also shared his thoughts on the future of partnering organizations by saying “There are cases when core banking systems hinder the bank\'s development and progress. We believe that our solution should act as a guide leading the bank to prosperity and growth. Erel Bank is now able to introduce various new products to the market and offer more services to their customers.”

The State Bank of Mongolia successfully adopts the core banking solution

This year GrapeCity Mongolia successfully implemented the core banking solution in two new banks. The projects which were initiated in March and were successfully completed in 5 months and are currently fully operational at The State Bank of Mongolia and Erel Bank. This week GrapeCity Mongolia signed delivery notes with both banks to denote the official proof of delivery of the banking solution products.

Administrations of customer banks were very pleased with GrapeBank core banking system and other GrapeCity Mongolia products, and stated that they are looking forward to strengthening the partnership in the future. CEO of The State Bank of Mongolia Mr. Ben Turnbull said “We are very happy to have a modern system that will work for us. And we’re also very happy that it’s from a Mongolian company because it gives us good support.”

GrapeCity Mongolia’s core banking solution is a powerful bank accounting complex system, developed by latest technologies. It is expandable and can be customized by bank needs and requirements to deliver wide range of products and services to market demands.

“GrapeCity Mongolia 10th Anniversary” hiking trip is a success

Last weekend, we successfully organized the 6th annual hiking competition among its partners and customers, as part of our 10th anniversary celebration.

18 teams from 15 different organizations consisting of more than 100 hikers took part in the challenging competition, hiking nearly 20km in the beautiful mountains of Khairtkhaan all the way to valley of Ikh Bulag located in Bayantsogt soum of Tuv aimag, about 53km from Ulaanbaatar city.

Along with 2 of our teams, participants included Trade and Development Bank, Khan Bank, Golomt Bank, Capitron Bank, State Bank, Erel Bank, Mobicom Corporation, MOST PSP LLC, Incomnet LLC, BSB Service LLC, Songinokhangai LLC (My Shop Chain), Ilinx Express LLC, Monkord CSU, Achid Finance NBFI and Development Finance NBFI. Contestants took part in various contests requiring hiking skills, endurance, problem solving and teamwork.

Most notable contests were king of the race, highly entertaining 5 stage challenge and compass contest where contestants had to solve distance and direction riddles. Other important criteria of the competition were availability of hiking equipment and kits, hiking discipline and camp area cleanliness.

Sport masters and national referees from the Hiking Association of Mongolia established the panel of judges. “Khan” team from the Khan Bank, which consistently performs every year, was the overall winner taking the first place getting gold medals and keeping the Hiking Cup until next year. “Hikers” team from GrapeCity Mongolia got the second place, followed by the last year winners “TDB” team from Trade and Development Bank. One notable event that took place during this year’s hiking trip was the official hiker rank award ceremony. 10 most active and experience hikers were awarded with Hiking Association of Mongolia hiker ranks, certificates and hiking passports.

GrapeCity Mongolia’s project integrating card system with GrapeBank core banking system successfully completed

Trade and Development Bank and GrapeCity Mongolia successfully integrated TranzWare card system, developed by Compass Plus from Russia, GrapeBank core banking system.

Before the integration project, TranzWare card system used to maintain card transactions and account balances outside of the core banking system, which forced Trade and Development Bank to maintain two separate accounting books for cards as well as provide their card services through independent and detached channels. The integration project allowed the bank to join the two systems thus presenting new opportunities and new products for customers. For example, now cards can be issued for any product enabling online transactions for card accounts. A single point of access for all services including card services highly optimizes bank operations. In addition, card account management was made available in Virtual Banking.

The project was completed in 6 months, and TDB went live with the new and updated system from 1st of March, 2010. GrapeBank system was enhanced with following card management modules:

Card request
Credit card account
Debit card account
Batch transaction
Settlement of merchant contingent accounts

Following card system requirement, GrapeBank 3.1 is now a fully online 24x7 system.

GrapeCitizens win “Person of the Year“ awards

On 28th of December, 2008, “Mongolian Development Gateway” non-government organization successfully organized “Person of the Year 2009” awards for the 7th time. The “Person of the Year” awards, consisting of 9 nominations, are presented annually by the “Mongolian Development Gateway” along with its partners and associates to recognize the achievements and successes of the individuals in the information technology industry.

GrapeCity Mongolia’s President B. Ganbold was voted as the “Best Manager/Executive Officer in the Information Technology Industry”, the overall top nomination of the awards. In addition the Head of our Research and Development Department, A. Amarsanaa received the “Best Developer” award.

AchidBanker micro-financing solutions Top Choice of 2009

"My Computer" information technology magazine successfully organized "Information and Communications Technology Top Choice 2009" awards for the fourth time. The "Information and Communications Technology Top Choice" accolades are presented annually by the "My Computer" along with Information, Communications Technology and Post Authority of Mongolia, Mongolian Information Development Association MIDAS/MONITA non-government organization and Mongolian Information Technology Park to recognize excellence of professionals, promote achievements and assist consumers in selecting products and services in the information and communications industry.

The awards are split into 15 categories and 9 nominations. GrapeCity Mongolia’s “AchidBanker” system was voted as the “Best software” and received an award certificate along with commemorative statuette.

AchidBanker system is a complete management system for micro-financing institutions, handling financial operations and products such as loans and deposits. Currently, more than 10 micro-financing institutions and credit bureaus are using AchidBanker system.

GrapeCity Mongolia has been successfully participating in the “Information and Communications Technology Top Choice” awards every year. Some of the previous notable awards include our "Core banking system" winning the “Best Software” in 2006 and 2008 and Virtual Banking solution winning the “Best Banking and Financial Software” in 2007.

Treasury system successfully implemented at the Trade and Development Bank

GRATS treasury system developed by GrapeCity Mongolia LLC was successfully implemented and is currently fully operational at the Trade Development Bank.

The GRATS system aims at automation of treasury deal recording, monitoring, approval and settlement along with their accounts management processes. The system has online integration with GrapeBank core banking system and GrapeMaster general ledger system.
The system provides following benefits and advantages:

Fast and straightforward customer account management processes
Rich set of functionalities directed at mitigating operational risks
Operational profit/loss calculations recorded and reflected in the balance accounts and fiscal reports
Overall monitoring including transaction monitoring

Hiking trip celebrating 9th anniversary of GrapeCity Mongolia

GrapeCity Mongolia successfully organized the 5th annual hiking competition among its partners and customers. The 2-day hiking competition organized as part of GrapeCity Mongolia's 9th anniversary was held during 16th-17th of May, 2009.

19 teams from 15 organizations took part in the challenging competition, hiking more than 20km following the Ulaanbaatar - Tureg Khaan Tonikuk statue - Ar Janchivlan hot springs resort - Ulaanbaatar route. Along with GrapeCity Mongolia, participant organizations include Trade and Development Bank, Khan Bank, Post Bank of Mongolia, Capitron Bank, Capital Bank, Golomt Bank, Mobicom Corporation, Just Group, Incomnet LLC, International Freight Forwarding Center of Mongolian Railways, Moncord credit bureau, Songinokhairkhan (My Store Chain), E-Links Express, MOST PSP LLC. Contestants took part in various contests requiring hiking skills, endurance, problem solving and teamwork. Most notable contests were king of the hill race, highly entertaining 5 stage challenge and compass contest were contestants had to solve distance and direction puzzles. Other important criteria of the competition were availability of hiking equipment and kits, hiking discipline and camp cleanliness. On 18th of December, 2008, "My Computer" information technology magazine successfully organized "Information and Communications Technology Top Choice 2008" awards for the third time. The "Information and Communications Technology Top Choice" accolades are presented annually by the "My Computer" along with Information, Communications Technology and Post Authority of Mongolia, Mongolian Information Development Association MIDAS/MONITA non-government organization and Mongolian Information Technology Park to recognize excellence of professionals, promote achievements and assist consumers in selecting products and services in the information and communications industry.
